Join Business Events Victoria (BEV), the convention bureau dedicated to driving business events outcomes for regional Victoria. Since 1996, BEV has united conference venues, accommodation providers, tour operators, local councils, regional tourism organisations, and service providers to collaboratively market and promote business events in regional Victoria. As part of the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC), BEV is committed to growing regional Victoria’s share of the meetings, conference, and events market.

About the Role
As the BEV Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in our team, working closely with the Business Development Manager to deliver key outcomes from the ‘Regional Victoria Business Events Program’. This role supports the Executive Officer in formulating and executing BEV’s sales and marketing activities, driving visitation to regional Victoria through business events.
- Facilitate lead generation by actively pursuing new and repeat business events for regional Victoria.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporates, in-house meeting planners, government organisations, and Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs).
- Develop strategies for lead referrals, client enquiries, and bid opportunities in collaboration with venues and destinations.
- Support the development and delivery of the annual Sales and Marketing Plan, including personalised sales calls and attendance at industry tradeshows.
- Engage, connect, and build relationships with industry partners.

Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated success in business-to-business sales within the hospitality, tourism, or events industry.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to identify and foster key internal and external relationships.
- Outstanding analytical skills and the capacity to plan and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work autonomously and make decisions independently.

- Proficiency in Windows, Excel, databases, and communications technology.
- Tertiary qualification with a minimum of three to five years’ experience in the business events or tourism sector is favorable.
